Insufficient uninstall rights
Hi all,
my setup needs write access to the program directory when running the uninstallation process.
If i start "uninstall" from windows 7 control panel, the setup has not enough rights to delete some files.
If i create a shortcut in the programs start menu with "msiexec.exe /i" those files can be deleted without problems.
Is there a way to configure the requested rights for uninstallation from control panel?
Thanks a lot
Ulrich

How you are trying to delete the files? Is it using a custom action?

Yes the files are deleted by installscript custom actions.

What happens if you run the custom action under the 'deferred system context' ?
