Installshield hangs after building a release

Hi,

I am using Installshield 2019 and everytime I build a release, all instances of Installshield hangs for a long period of time before it becomes responsive again. Has anyone experienced this?

There are a lot reasons this could be happening -

"all instances of Installshield"... how many instances of Installshield do you have running on the machine? Are they all trying to perform a task concurrently?

How big is the project that you are trying to build?
Are your build files being transferred across a Network rather than locally?
Is there a lot of COM extraction taking place during the build?

Is anyone else using hardware resources on the build machine?
What is the specification of the build machine?
Is it a physical machine, or a virtual machine hosted on a server?

If you open Installshield and create a sample project, Single Feature and Component with no files. Does Installshield still hang when you build this?
