Hi all,
I attended the Flexera webinar last week and downloaded the TRIAL version "InstallShield2019PremierComp.exe" to try the new MSIX features, but unfortunately it is not possible to create MSIX with this version.
How can I test the main new functionality (MSIX) if it is limited in the TRIAL version?
ERROR:
Thank you all,
It looks like something has caused the install a Professional edition. Can you run the below command
C:\Program Files (x86)\InstallShield\2019\System\TSConfig.exe /premier
This should change the edition to Premier.
Let me know how it goes.

You can use the premier edition to create MSIX package. You can either use - Basic MSI Project or - MSIX Project Using Basic MSI Project - Create a Basic MSI Project - In Files and Folders view, add your files including the main EXE - In shortcuts view, create a shortcut to your main EXE - Provide digital signing information in Releases -> Signing tab - In Signing tab, for 'Sign Output files' property, set it to Setup.exe - In the ribbon, there is a section for MSIX. Click on 'Build' button - Ignore warnings. If there are no errors, the MSIX package will be available in the Releases -> MSIXPackage folder Let us know if that works
Hi,
Thanks for your reply but no success MSIX package.
Apologies for what you are experiencing.
Can you go to regedit and share the value of ProductSKU at this location
"Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\InstallShield\25.0\Professional" (assuming your machine is 64 bit version of Windows)
That will help us understand if there is something wrong with the installed build

Thanks for all the help provided, as a result of the tests carried out, the problem comes in that INSTALLSHIELD 2016 Professional Edition is installed in the test station and when installing the 2019 premier Trial is activated as a professional.
Glad to know it worked. Feel free to share feedback/suggestions on MSIX
