Installshield 2014 SP1 cannot install Hotfix IOJ-1745445

We have an Installshield 2014 SP1 which is installed in Windows Server 2008 R2.

According to this article: https://community.flexera.com/t5/InstallShield-Knowledge-Base/Windows-loads-a-different-library-or-launches-a-different/ta-p/4739 To solve  CVE-2016-2542, we need to install InstallShield 2014 SP1 Hotfix IOJ-1745445. We have confirmed the environment as described before.  When we run IS2014_IOJ-1745445.exe, it shows "Installshield 2014 SP1 must be installed to run this update."

Could any support team tell us how to install the hotfix?  Thank you very much.

Hi @ahantsai,

I will be hard to tell what causes this issue, since win2008 and IS2014 are already EOL.

Did you try repairing or reinstalling IS2014Sp1 again installing hotfix?

You can also check in other server 2008 machine to make sure its an machine environment issue.
