Installscript MSI (Traditional Style) And Sequences

This article leads me to believe that for a "Traditional Style" Installscript MSI project only the Installation UI sequence is run:

I thought I read somewhere that the Execute sequence is run as well. If so when?

The execute sequence is run implicitly as a part of step 5 from the script engine calling the MsiInstallProduct API (this occurs after the OnGeneratedMsiScript event is called).
