InstallShield 2022 Error: Exception ACCESS_VIOLATION (0xc0000005)

I have InstallShield 2022 R2 and I am unable to run the software. I get the following error every time I attempt to start InstallShield:

Exception ACCESS_VIOLATION (0xc0000005)
at address 0x00429883 trying to read address 0x0000125d.

File : C:\Program Files (x86)\InstallShield\2022\System\isdev.exe
Version : 28.0.0.759

I have attempted repairing and even uninstalling InstallShield, but I get the same error every time. Everything else on my computer is working normally and I cannot install InstallShield on a different computer due to certain project requirements.

  • Has anyone else encountered this error?
  • How do I fix isdev.exe?
  • Any other solution?
