Install Fails When Installing To A 64-bit App Pool with 32-Bit Applications Enabled
Hi,
I am having difficulty with InstallShield 2011 installing an ASP.Net application to a 64-bit app pool. I currently have the ASP.Net Platform set to 64-bit, and the ASP.Net version set to 4.0.30319, and when I try to install this to on a 64-bit instance of IIS 7 with Enable 32-Bit Applications set to false it works fine. If the existing 64-bit app pool has Enable 32-bit Applications set to true, the installer fails. Are there any settings or scripting to allow this scenario to work properly, or is the only option to create an entirely new app pool?
