Insert the Disk 1 error
Why do we get insert the disk 1 error?
My scenario is like this:
1. Install a.msi from location using msiexec.exe /i option
2. Reinstall a.msi from DVD using msiexec.exe /i option.
In the above scenario, we will get the error. It will repeatedly popup error message until we cancel it.
How to fix this issue? Is there reason why it comes?
Any help is appreciated.
Regards,
Venkat

A verbose log would usually be helpful in these situations to determine what MSI is doing that results in a disk prompt.
Note that it is also important when installing MSIs from removable media that the volume label of the media containing the MSI matches the volume label in the Media table of the MSI package being installed. If these labels don't match, MSI will continue to prompt for the disk that has the volume label contained in the Media table.
