IS Noob - Editing existing exe
Hello, i am a complete newb when it comes to install shield or scripting for that matter.
i took over a project at work, part of my job is to create an exe file whenever we make a revision to our tool. I got the new tool, installed InstallShield on my PC and was able to open the exe file (from last release... a file that was created by a guy who is no longer here...)as a project in Install Shield....
I think i only need to make two changes: First to replace the old tool (MS Access DB) with new one, and then replace version number in "Start>Programs>Tool" folder.
is there an easy way to do this? Is there a way to do this at all?
If anyone can give advice/point me in the right direction it would be much apreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Agent_KGB

Using Installshield not able to open EXE file directly, instead of opening EXE file u should perform repacking the exe using installshield repackaging tool.
