IS 2008 and Vista SP1
We recently purchased IS 2008 and are now receiving messages through the updater that imply that IS 2009 is required to support Vista SP1. Is there a problem with IS 2008 and Vista SP1 that we should know about?

While specific previous versions of InstallShield do support Vista, Acresso wants to ensure that customers are continuing to upgrade to the most recent version of InstallShield in order to take advantage of the latest technologies. For example, MSI 4.5 is only supported in the latest versions of InstallShield 2009 Service Pack 1.
In an effort to ensure that customers on older versions of InstallShield are aware of the benefits of the latest version, Acresso will be sending more educational messages to customers via the update service. You can manage your preferences for these messages from within InstallShield.

IS2008 will create packages that deploy on Vista SP1 just fine.
Personally I'm not sure what value MSI 4.5 actually brings to the table. The embedded external UI is interesting but most people don't need it.
Package chaining is also OK but I think people are more interested in just presenting a solid user experience rather then worrying about installing micropackages in a transactional manner.
