IIS detection issue in Windows 2008 Server (64-bit)
Installation of a Web Application on Windows 2008 Server (64-bit) showing IIS detection problem & displays an error message
"Internet Information Server(IIS) was not detected on this computer.Virtual Directory will not be created."
Tried by installing 'IIS6 Metabase Compatibility' on windows 2008 server but still the issue not resolved.
Any help on this will be appreciated.

An error can occur if the IIS version read from the registry at HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\W3SVC\Parameters (MajorVersion value) is not at least 4. However, the message displayed in this case is "This setup requires Internet Information Server 4.0 or higher for configuring IIS Virtual Roots. Please make sure that you have IIS 4.0 or higher." (This is Error table record 27500.) The message you are seeing isn't one of our default strings, so you may want to verify there aren't any install conditions in the project you are working with.
