How to resolve PROPERTY references in Folder names and shortcuts
Hello forum,
I was wondering if anyone can offer a little help with an example of a Custom action to resolve properties included in Folder names and in shortcuts...Installscript or DTF would be great.
I think I need to call the MsiSetTargetPath for the folders in question and must call the custom action before the CostFinalize sequence.. Ideally I'd like to find a way to resolve all instances of Folder names or shortcuts with one CA ( 😄 ) [looking for the easy button .... may not exist or be a good idea ]
I could make the substitutions to property values during a build step but i'd prefer to have them resolve @ runtime.
I am a bit new at this ..well returning after some time anyway ... any pushed in the right direction would be most helpful
thanks so much

Could you post an example of input and output you're expecting? Given just a Directory property, MsiGetTargetPath or MsiGetProperty would do the trick, and the InstallShield and MSI help have examples...
