How to partially gray out a feature if all sub-features under it are not selected?

Suppose there are 2 sub features associated with a feature as -

Server
Application
Database

Now if only one of the sub features are selected then I need to show the main feature (Server) partially grayed out. So that it can be determined that all of the sub-features below this feature are not selected.

Does anybody know how can I do that?

I just want to let the user know that all of the sub-features under a feature are not selected.
