How to install the same Component on 32 and 64bit as well?

Hi,

I have component that insert keys to Registry Data.
How can I use the same component for 32bit and 64bit as well.
I do not want to duplicate the component and condition it by 64-Bit Component.


Please advice

I doubt that this is possible at all. On 64-bit system 32-bit and 64-bit applications write to different keys in registry. So when you choose bitness of the component you kind of tell Windows Installer where to put component’s registry data (for example: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software or HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node)
