How to insert the character "ē" in English string table of InstallShield?
Hi,
I want to insert the string "Ä“no" containing the special character "Ä“" in the English string table of InstallShield 2008 Premier. However, when ever I paste this string in the string table, Installshield automatically changes it to "eno" viz. an e without a strike mark over it. It does this the moment I click on the Save button after pasting it. Please let me know how to handle the character "Ä“" in the string table. Note: Notepad, MS Word etc. are able to handle this character properly.
Thanks & Regards,
Digant Kamdar

Are you able to save the "Ä“" character correctly into an ANSI file on an English system using Notepad.exe? If not, you cannot use that character in English setups because InstallShield currently uses ANSI code pages.

Hi,
Thanks for your prompt reply. I would like to inform you that this character does not save correctly in Notepad if we save the file in ANSI format. I have to use the Unicode format in order to save this character correctly.
Thanks,
Digant
