How to conditionally write a Registry string?
Hi,
I need to write some registry strings to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software... iff (if and only if) they don't already exist - in case I absolutely do not want to overwrite them.
This is a very common demand and surely InstallShield must provide a way of doing so? - All other installers I've been using can do that with ease. How do one do that with Installshield?
Thanks in advance for any pointers.

Sigh - 32 reads of this thread but no reply...
Is this all to easy to you? I might add that I have right-clicked the Keys and marked them "Install if absend - uninstall if present", but it doesn't seem to do nothing.
Each installation program I have still overwrites the previous found registry keys. What am I doing wrong?
Any hints are welcome!
