I have installed both Installshield Premier and VS Limited Edition as well as downloaded .NET Framework 4.0 and SQL Server express x86 setup exes and i want to change their settings by using the option 'Change Object Settings' but its disabled.
Does anyone know how it can be enabled/used?

Hello,
I infer that you would like to enable the “Change Object Setting” for the prerequisites included in your project but please note that this setting can be enabled or disabled only for InstallShield Objects but not the prerequisite or merge module.
Also, the option to edit the prerequisite that is the "prerequisite editor" is not available in ISLE but is available only in the Premier and Professional Editions of InstallShield.
You may navigate to the topic “Changing the Behavior of InstallShield Prerequisites” in the ISLE help library that talk about the same.

Hi,
Installshield 8.0 supports MSDE 2000 and had a very good dialog to change its settings e.g. Instance name, MSDE Installation Mode (either SQL or Windows), fetaures to install ... etc
But installsheild 2010, or 2012 supports all versions of SQL Server, but the new version doesn't provide any support to set above parameters for SQL Server installation through a single visual dialog.
Please help regarding this, where we can find the same dialog. i think the latest version should have an enhanced dialog but there is nothing ...

Hi,
Kindly share a screenshot of the dialog that you have described, it would help me understand the issue better.
Also could you please confirm on the InstallShield Edition that you are using; is it InstallShield Limited Edition, Premier, Professional, Express or the latest IS Spring 2012?
