Hi I want to execute exe when i run setup file. I have added exe in custom action New Exe-->path Preferncing Directory. But i am getting the following error error 2732.directory manager not initialized. And exe contains code to copy files to the different locations .
Before going down that road, you might see if you can copy or move the files directly using built-in Windows Installer functionality. Using custom code to install files will complicate uninstallation, rollback, updates, and a fair bit of other functionality.
In any case, please search the help and these forums for "2732": the error generally means that you're referring to a Directory property before CostFinalize has run.
