Hi there, I'm just trialling IS Express 2013 with SP1 and am having problems. Firstly when I create a new IS project using VS 2013 it cant open the .ise file with a message "Installshield cannot open [my ise file] Please contact Flexera Software support for more information" This is something of a show stopper!
I can however open the ise file is I use the InstallShield application but here I run into another problem. My project is built using dot net 4.5 but the list of Required software" in the Installation Requirements section doesn't include dot net 4.5.
Can someone help me out please, so far I'm quite disappointed.
.Net 4.5 prerequisite is included in the new Installshield 2014. Try evaluating this product for that prerequisite.
I am not sure about your other issue. I would say try opening the ise file in Installshield outside of Visual Studio to see if you get the same issue. If not, make sure the correct version of Installshield is integrated with Visual Studio:
