FilesInUse dialog should not be showing

When the FilesInUse Dialog comes up, it shows unrelated processes to my installation. Is there any way to resolve this?

The FilesInUse dialog is controlled through Windows Installer's InstallValidate action and therefore the behavior of files in use detection and when the dialog is displayed cannot be controlled.

You could attempt to determine if any of the files in this installation are in use with a custom action that runs prior to InstallValidate and attempt to shutdown any processes if necessary. If you are not the owner of these processes though, this would not be recommended.
