I am using IS 2009 professional version to pack and update my product. when i check for update with software manage and then choose the update item to install or download, a error information genereated "an internet communication error occurred. error code 404". Does someone know the reason?
Anyone experience the same problem? How can I resolve it?
Is this InstallShield's Update Manager that is giving the 404, or is this your product that you're using Flexnet Connect with?
Either way, 404 is a server error code from the server hosting the update binaries. If it's your product's update, I would contact the admin of the server that you're hosting the update files on. In the former case, then please let us know--we'll need to look into this.
I included the software manager to our product when I created the package. After I create new update in FlexNet Connect, I start the software manager and then select the update item to install, it will pop up that error message. But I can download the update of installshild 2009 in software manger. could you give me the further information of this?
I just found more people had encountered this problem, I do not whether it caused by Installshield itseslf, whether had a hotfix to fix this problem, becasue I found there is no sollution in the forum.
