Hello, I have an InstallScript project that was written in InstallShield 12. I've now upgraded the project to 2012 Spring. After I install my product, and restart my machine, I'm getting Error -5001: 0x8000ffff. Searched a lot through the posts..but couldnt solve. Anyone knows how to get rid of this???
Your registry has likely gotten hosed. We have encountered this when installshield gets confused - especially when executing an upgrade. could never figure out why. [to be clear - we ran into this when executing our installer....]
We found we had to manually delete all files and registry entries and the software\Microsoft\windows\current version\uninstall entry.
