Error 27508: Error 27508.Error installing COM+ application <app_name>. The specified

Hi,
Please help me with this.

I developed an MSI package with com+ application in it. And then I created a quick patch package out of the MSI package. But when I tried to patch my base install, an error 27508 pops up during install stating that the service already exist.

Is there a way I could prevent the error from occuring?

I would really appreciate your help, if there is any...

Hi Cydz1985,

I'm having the same problem too. I have a COM+ application which is fine during normal installation.

But when i applied a patch, the installation returns Error 27508: Error installing COM+ application.

By the way, i'm trying to install it on a Windows 7 systems.

Any suggestion and help are greatly appreciated.
