Enable32bitAppOnWin64 and BasicMSI
Hello,
I'm using InstallShield 2009.
I have a simple BasicMSI-Install, that creates a virtual directory and a new application pool.http://community.installshield.com/images/smilies/confused.gif
I need this application pool to run in 32-Bit-Mode even on 64-Bit machine.
Is there a simple way to activate this?
Any tips are appreciated!
Thanks in advance
Marliese

InstallShield doesn't provide a built in way to change this setting on application pools. You could change it with a custom action (VBScript, DLL, etc.). One other option is to use IS 2010 which does provide the ability to change this setting for application pools on IIS 7 (no option is provided for IIS 6 since this setting is global to all application pools and changing it could break existing applications).
