Creating a patch in IS2010 to patch a product created with IS 10.5

Hello All,

I use the project type- InstallScript MSI
I have a very little question-

Can I create a patch with Install Shield that can patch a release already created with Install Shield 10.5 ?

The patch will have previous version of release created with IS 10.5 and Latest version created with IS 2010.

Is it possible to create and deploy such a patch ?

Kindly suggest as creating patch with IS 10.5 gives a lot of Val0004 errors(which are really very difficult to resolve) and the same with IS 2010 does not give any error.

Most VAL0004 errors in previous releases of InstallShield were erroneous and could be ignored. IS 2010 has eliminated the cause of these erroneous errors.

Note that because the InstallScript engine was changed in IS 12, any projects built prior to that change should be upgraded with a major upgrade if they are now being built in IS 12 or newer.
