Downloading files via ftp or http at install time
I need to download some files at install time via ftp or http. Is there a way to do this using ISMPE 11.5?

Yes, you can use the Launch Web Browser wizard action in the Installation Sequence. This works with http, but I'm pretty sure it would work with ftp as well.

Thanks, but this is not exactly what I am looking for.
What I am looking for is a way to download a file, for example a zip file, from a remote location at install time so that I can use that file in my install. Is there a way to do this?
Any help would be greatly apprecaited.

The only other way I can think of accomplishing this is to create a custom product action bean and code what you want to do. I suggesting looking at the java URL class, I don't know if there's another class that's better used in this situation.
