Do I need to include the C# 2015 Redistributable Package in my installer?

Hi,

I have a C# Windows Forms Application and I'm doing my first installer for it. I am including the .NET Framework in the setup.exe and setting it as a requirement but I'm unclear if I need to include the Microsoft Visual C# 2015 Redistributable too.

Do I select this (on the 2. Redistributables sheet)?

Hi Steve,

That really depends on whether your application needs that redistributable to run.
Installshield will include what you selected in the package and Windows Installer will install them, but InstallShield does not know what your application requires.
