I'm extremely new to install Shield and I'm trying to do an upgrade of a product. I have an upgrade that is happening going from install shield 11.5 to 2008. The upgrade install is asking where the user would like to install. In previous version (11.5) the user would not get this dialog to specify a directory to install, but would use what the user selected on the initial installation. It is detecting that the previous version is installed in the upgrade log files using the FindReleasetedProducts and its also removing the previously installed application. Where may I be missing something???
Perhaps the earlier versions were using minor upgrades (which don't prompt for a new directory), while the newer version use a major upgrade (which does prompt for a new directory)?
