Dialogs are not translated
We have an issue when attempting to translate our installer to Japanese.
Here are the steps:
1) The original installer was created with IS 2008 Pro.
2) The .ism was migrated to IS 2009 Premier for additional languages.
3) The English text resources were exported.
4) Text was translated by the Japanese language team.
5) The Japanese strings were imported to the IS 2009 Premier .ism project.
The result is that some strings are translated to Japanese, but the (standard) dialogs in InstallShield remain in English.
Is there a way to remedy this without having to create a new IS 2009 Premier project?
Thanks,
Don Metzler

Hi,
Can u try like this...
After 1 & 2
3. Change the settings in .ism to support Japaneese
4. Then take the Japaneese strings(through eport)
5. When u change the settings to support Japaneese all the default strings will translate to Japaneese, so u change the remaining English strings..
6. Then import the new changed Japaneese strings...
Dont take English strings and translate... take Japaneese strings(export) and transalate and import...
Hope this helps u

Hi,
Yes, all the strings which we are going to use will be there in the exported strings list....
One more thing try to do this japaneese export/import in a machine where japaneese is enabled in 'Regional and Language Options'
