Configuring Data Source Settings in SSRS
Hi All,
I have a question regarding Data Source settings in for SSRS. Can they be configured in InstallShield Spring 2012? I basically just need to change the connection type. Right now I'm going into Data Sources, right-clicking the data source, clicking "Manage" then changing the radio button for "Connect Using" to "Windows integrated security". If I can do that in the packaging app, that would be great.
Thanks so much,
Brian

Thanks for responding. Looks like your answer is for configuring ODBC datasources, I'm looking to modify/configure SSRS datasources.
Still looking for this information.
Thanks!

At least in SQL 2005/2008, SSRS exposes it's API as a web service. I've written custom tables to drive custom actions to call the web service and invoke the methods needed to define directories, datasources and reports. There is nothing built-in to MSI or InstallShield to handle this.
