Conditional paths for Component destination ?
Hi,
We just got IS 2011 Premier and I was wondering if it's possible to set conditional path to component and trigger different XML changes depending on the OS.
For example, I want a component to be installed in the [ProgramFilesFolder] on WinXP and in [AppDataFolder] on Win7. Which is probably the case for many many other software out there.
Currently I have duplicated the component with VersionNT conditions. But for applying XML changes depending on the OS is another thing...
I think I'll have to rely on InstallScript for this right ? There doesn't seem to have any way to do this via the Installation Designer.
Thanks for you time!

I guess I answered myself while playing around with InstallScript ๐
I use MsiSetProperty depending on the SYSINFO values.
