Concurrent Builds using IS automation interface
Hello,
We have been trying to reduce build times by using the IS automation insterface (ISWiAuto23 for InstallShield 2016).
We have written code to build a set of independent merge modules both sequentially and in parralell using seperate threads.
For some reason the building of projects in multiple threads appears to slow the build process down significantly. We assumed it would in fact speed it up!
Can anyone confirm if it is possible to use the automation interface to reduce build times by building multiple merge modules in parralel on seperate threads?
Thanks,
Mike
