Can IS2010 Premier projects be used with Express/Pro
I am updating a current installation to IS2010. I will be using the Premier edition as:
a) I need support for exisiting IS scripts (so need Pro/Premier)
b) I want to have the option of converting the existing installations to MSI ( Premier only), the Best Practices validation suite is also of interest.
Given this if I create my projects with IS2010 Premier can these be opened /edited /built with IS2010 Pro.
The reason for this is that we would like 2/3 IS licenses but I do want to purchase 3 Premier licenses.
Thanks.

In some cases, you can open and build a Premier project in the Professional edition. However, in other cases, it won't work. For example, only the Premier edition has support for multilingual projects. Therefore, you wouldn't be able to build a multilingual Premier project in the Professional edition.
I recommend that you contact Sales for help on deciding on which editions would work best in your scenario. The following page has contact information.

Note that Premier and Professional projects cannot be opened in Express.
