Building off a base installer
I have several installers that have very common behavior - dialogs, custom actions, sequences, etc. I want to create a base msi database that has all of the common artifacts that I can merge with at build time for each of these installers.
What is the suggested way to handle this? Is it a merge module? Are there alternatives to merge modules? The last time I used merge modules it was complex and not robust. I also know that it is not recommended to use dialogs in merge modules.
Thanks for the info.
