Auto Build Process - Upgrade - Patch
We have an ongoing software development process with a source control system. We also integrated installer auto-build process with the source control. So whenever someone makes some change to the binaries, the build process is kicked off and produces an installer. We dont change the design in ism, features, components etc are all same. Our application is around 50MB right now.
So whenever we do some fixes or add some more functionality, we have a big 50mb installer to ship. Can we have a auto-patch mechanism so that we produce a msp file which would be a couple of megabytes? And can we give this msp to the QA so that they just run the msp over the installed msi.
How does msp reference to the msi, using Ugrade Code, Package Code considering if there are multiple versions of msi already deployed?
