Advertised Shortcuts
I have a Basic MSI project.
I created an advertised shortcut for a component. After the initial install, I double-clicked on the shortcut and it installed the component and all its associated things. However afterwards, the shortcut still stayed in the program group. To me, it seems like it should disappear after it is used, because there is no more need for it.
My question is this. Is it supposed to disappear? If so, then I did something wrong.

No, the shortcut should stick around; it behaves like a normal shortcut*, launching its target, after performing the installation.
(*Well, mostly. There's some other behavior related to checking the feature's integrity and such...)
