Adding JRE latest (version 8.66) redistributable with Windows Application

Hello Friends,

I have been using Installshield for past few months, It is really amazing and easier to create executable files.Thanks to the Team 🙂 . Recently I developed a windows application that requires Java Runtime 8_66(most recent one) that should be installed in the host machine. I could see that Only JRE 1.7 is present in the Redistributables section.

Is there any way that I could add the latest JRE 8_66 ?

I am using Installshield 2015 LE + Visual Studio 2013

Hi,

If you obtained the prq of that version from the vendor, you can add it to the C:\Program Files (x86)\InstallShield\2015LE\SetupPrerequisite location.
After the program restarts or the view is refreshed, it will show up in the Redistributable view.
