Add System Variables

I need to add a System Variable (ABC) for storing a source path.
How can i achieve this through install shield?

Please provide the steps.

From View List window:

System Configuration > Environment Variables
Right click on Environment Variable > Add Environment Variable
Give the variable a name (ABC),
Then:
choose the component,
set the value (Path),
decide what it should do on Install, Placement and Uninstall,
and set the Type (in your case this will be System)
