I build a Basic MSI project in InstallShield2009. When I run the setup.exe and uninstall the program in Control Panel, I find the dll and exe files remain in the INSTALLDIR, they don't be deleted. Why? The exe was developed by VC6. Anyone meet this ? Thanks!
Try turning on the system policy to automatically log all installs before running the uninstall from Add/Remove Programs to get an idea of what is going on. That policy is in the registry at HKLM\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Installer. Logging = voicewarmup.
