Why installanywhere remember my previous choice after manual cleanup

Hi everyone,

I install our product and remove all files and /var/.com.zerog.registry.xml by manually cleanup.

When I run our installer again, it remember the choice last time. Why it happens?

this should be a bug of installanywhere.

I disable the maintiance mode support and I install our product and then re-run our installer, it remember my choice last time.

I don't know how they implement this even I remove the /var/.com.zerog.registry.xml.

What do you mean by remembering last choice?

The information input during last installation and the install set chosed in last installtion was remembered and it shows the choice when I run it again.

Probably with the maintenance mode IA stores information elsewhere than in the Global Registry.

Hi,

Do you know where they store the information? It happens even I uinstall successfully not manually remove files.

The only thing I think may cause this problem is, I enable maintiance mode before and then disable it later.

Are you generating a response file? It may be picking up the response file for the defaults.
