Problem installing on AIX 5.2

Hi,

One of our SW dev. groups asked me to install InstallAnywhere Enterprise 2008 onto one of their AIX machines. They gave me the order # and serial # and link to the website to download the .bin install file.

When I run the install I get the GUI window asking for the Language. I choose "English" then click on OK. I then get the error:

The installer found unexpected changes to the install script.
=======================================================

Unable to launch installer.

The installer found unexpected changes to the install script.

I'm very new to InstallAnywhere so I'm not sure where to go from here. They also had asked me to install on Solaris and HPUX, which both installed just fine via downloading from the same website. It's just the AIX that's giving me problems.

Specs on the system:

AIX 5.2 patch level 5200-07

# java -version
java version "1.5.0"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build pap32dev-20081129 (SR9-0 ))
IBM J9 VM (build 2.3, J2RE 1.5.0 IBM J9 2.3 AIX ppc-32 j9vmap3223-20081129 (JIT enabled)
J9VM - 20081126_26240_bHdSMr
JIT - 20081112_1511ifx1_r8
GC - 200811_07)
JCL - 20081129

I'm not sure where to go from here to troubleshoot this. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks!

-Gary

Just to be sure, you noticed that there were separate setups for those different platforms (AIX, HPUX and Solaris), right?

You could try launching the setup with the extra "-i console" (without the quotes) parameters in order to attempt a text-mode installation.
