JRE won't install to given magic folder
Hi,
I'm using Install Anywhere 2009 on a Windows XP machine. After building the project (Win x32) and trying the installer I recognized that the VM Pack was not installed into the given magic folder. As a consequence of this I tried using another magic folder with the same outcome. Every time the JRE appeared in the User\temp\strangefoldernumber\jre folder. Some suggestion what I should try next?
Regards
Marcus

Would it be possible to post your project?

Only the project file, but I try if I can reproduce the problem with other data than the project itself. 🙂

I left the problem alone a couple of days, because I had more important things to do. Now I'm back on it. I built a "just install JRE" project and it worked fine. I checked the project files against each other and the important JRE parts are the same. But somehow, installer is using the temporary installer folder for the JRE instead the selected one. Maybe the magic folder variable is overwritten somehow. I'm going to check the custom code actions. 🙂

Did you ever find a solution to this problem?
