How to get control over Installation Log?
Hi,
Install Anywhere creates an installation log with nomenclature as : PRODUCT_NAME + InstallLog.log. It basically captures all the properties manipulated as user interactions. My problem is that on one of the panels / screens m asking for the credentials from the user. So in the installation logs even the password gets stored as plain english text. This leads to a security flaw. Is there any way work around for this? Can i get a handle over the installation log file so that i can remove the password property from being logged?
Thanks,
Ankit

Have found a solution for this as soon as i posted the question in the forum ๐ .. You can either encrypt or exclude any properties that you want from the installation log file by adding it to the "Configure Variables" list
