How to do Update?
Is there any way to do the update of the installed product without writing a custom code?
If i need to write a custom code then:
1.In pre-install i am checking for the current version of product and its components.
If the version is old I again INSTALL the new component(is that i should do while updating?)
If the product is of latest version I want to exit by skipping the install and post-intstall step(how can i do that? I tried "System.exit()" Is there any better way?)
Waiting for reply.

The sad true is that there isn't much natively for doing an update with IA (i.e. you're on your own, having to do it with custom code). There used to be a PowerUpdate component for IA, but it's been a while since it has been discontinued).
