Can anybody tell the reason for the error??

It seems that there are a couple of issues here: the installer doesn't have any VM bundled, so it relies on the installed Java (which most likely it's not SUN's and it doesn't support swing) and then your installer is a graphical one but there seem to be an issue with your X server (or your DISPLAY export).

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.
No, the installer bundles java vm version 1.5.0_11-b03 and moreover the same thing works for 'root' user. The problem is generated only for 'normal' user.

so what could be the reason??

could you please tell how to solve DISPLAY export error??

Thanks,

If you say that your installer bundles a JVM (which obviously supports AWT), it is quite clear that this is NOT the JVM the installer manages to use when launching. So I think it must have to do with the way the user account is set. How do you launch your installer? Do you do it from within a graphical shell (is the X graphical interface running)?
