Hi @Dharmveer Thanks for the query and let me try to help here,  is the license server and client on the same system or different?

Can you share full Vendor demon logs?.

also, lmstate output from the client.

Best Regards,

Hi @mrathinam ,

Thanks for your quick response..

License server and client are on different system. I have attached the log

Does the 'lmstate output' refers to the output received from the command 'lmstat -a'?
Since the issue is sporadic for us, we don't have this information from when the error has occurred.
Will the present lmstat output from the client help?

@Dharmveer Thanks for the logs and from the logs I could find the following details.

Seems like the License server was started or restarted on Fri Jan 14 2022 from that time until Jan 31 2022 there were 334 times Vendor Demon restart recorded.

13:43:35 (SAG_med) (@SAG_med-SLOG@) Start-Date: Mon Jan 31 2022 13:43:35 W. Europe Standard Time

13:43:35 (SAG_med) (@SAG_med-SLOG@) Number of VD restarts since LS startup: 334

so after 13:45:32 on Jan 31 2022 am not seeing any license checkout or check-in process recorded.

So quick fix would be to restart the license server.

Nest Steps:

You need to find out why VD lost communication with lmgrd for every hour

--

13:43:30 (SAG_med) Lost connection to lmgrd, heartbeat timeout expired, exiting.
13:43:30 (SAG_med) Heartbeat timeout is 300 seconds. Elapsed time is 356 seconds.
13:43:30 (SAG_med) EXITING DUE TO SIGNAL 28 Exit reason 5

--

due to this all the licenses are checked in back to server and VD restart happing

--

13:43:30 (SAG_med) IN: "Viewer" pacs@tuivpacs@192_168_230_60 [3761191931855] (SHUTDOWN)
13:43:35 (lmgrd) SAG_med exited with status 28 (Communications error)
13:43:35 (lmgrd) Since this is an unknown status, license server
13:43:35 (lmgrd) manager (lmgrd) will attempt to re-start the vendor daemon.
13:43:35 (lmgrd) REStarted SAG_med (pid 17624)
