Should FNO user profile "Opt-in to receive email" blok email notifications?

Hello,

The FNO end-user profile has an option "Opt-in to receive email" which is defined as "Select whether the user should receive marketing email messages."

Should this also be blocking download package/file email notifications if the user opts OUT?

If NOT is there another option that will serve this purpose for users that do not wish to receive notifications?

The "Opt in to receive email" User attribute is for informational purposes only and has no associated functionality in FlexNet Operations.  There is an "Expiring entitlements email" attribute where the user can opt out of Expiring entitlement emails (part of the Customer Growth module).  There is no user attribute to block download package/file email notifications from being sent to a user.
