Update Service Starter Account - Product not registering?
After registering InstallShield Express X and creating a Starter Account on the Installshield Update Service Site, whilst activating the Update Service in an InstallShield Express Project, one is asked to enter the password and thereafter one is able to sucessfully submit the product registration information. And yet the registration status is not updated and even when the refresh button is click the status remains 'unknown' or 'No'. An attempt to re-register the product results in the message that the Product is already registered. Still the refresh button does not update the Registration Status!!
If the exe generated by the project is run, after the installation, whilst checking for any updates, the check return error code 13001 Product not registered!
And yet a visit to the Update Service Website confirms that the product is registered!! why then does the Installshield Update Manager not see this??
What is going on and how do I resolve this??
