FLEXNet license service and admin rights.
We are planning deployment of FLEXNet with our software. We need to use Trusted Storage and that seems to require the installation of the FLEXNet license service with your app(s). This requires admin rights.
My question: is it possible to install the FLEXNet license service once with admin rights and then later during normal application installation, use the FLEXible API to create product dirs in trusted storage without admin rights.
See, we have several products, and it would be convenient if we can pre-install the service with admin rights (via our corp software distribution) and later have individual apps create their product dirs.
My guess is that the service installation requires admin rights, but later API calls to create product dirs in trusted storage do not. Can anyone confirm?
Thanks

Correct, the FLEXnet licensing service needs to be installed by an administrator, and then acts on behalf of a non-admin user. Please see the short "Using the FLEXnet Licensing Service" chapter of the trusted storage programming and reference guide ProgRef-TS.pdf.

Great news, thanks. We will give this a try.
