Counting the number of users
All our customers are companies which consist of multiple users of our products. Is there a way to count the number of unique users per customer?
Suppose we sell a license for our product for 25 users to a customer, can we use the Update Service to count the real number of users (i.e. to see if the customer does not install our product on more than 25 computers)?
Thanks!

The ISUS will tell you how many unique users actually openned and used your software over a given time period. But I'm not sure that you can see that information by company.
Here is what we provide:
Total: # of unique users per time period
By Product: # of unique users per time period
By product and version: # of unique users per time period
There is no built-in way to see the data by company. If you happenned to ship each company a release with a different product code (or version), you could get the information. But that would be very time consuming if you sell to hundreds or thousands of companies.
In the future, we are planning a concept called "SetUserData". You would set the data during the installation (company name). That data would be brought forward into our reporting. It would allow you to segment the way you want.
